AIM Log Rules and Archives

Occasionally, we will hold an AIM log to quickly move through a plot or combat scene. AIM logs will be scheduled two weeks in advance, and we will put out a call for player availability for the AIM log. Priority will be given to players who have not taken part in an AIM log recently. AIM logs typically will have a maximum player population of 6, although that may be flexible depending on the scene. Each AIM log counts as five comments toward the next activity check.

AIM Log Conventions:

During an AIM log, the following rules are in place to make the experience faster, smoother and more enjoyable for everyone involved.

-All characters may speak and respond at any time during the AIM log, except in the cases of diplomacy-based logs in which all speech must take place on your turn.
-We maintain a separate OOC chat for out of character chatter; please keep all OOC chatter to the OOC chat.
-Spectators are welcome in all AIM logs! We ask that you not respond in the IC chat and only speak in the OOC chat.
-When intensive action starts, the moderator will assign an initiative slot to all players. They will go down the list until the log resolves, ensuring that everyone receives an opportunity to act and take part in the log.
-When a character's turn comes up, the player may have them use any action within their personal ability set to positively influence the situation. We encourage all players to type their responses in advance to keep things moving.
-If your action requires input from a moderator before you can continue, please add a "-" at the end of your sentence.
-When your action is completed, please add a "+" at the end of your sentence so we can move on to the next player.
-If your character is specifically targeted or engaged by someone in the AIM log, they will have the opportunity to react. Reactions should generally be simpler than an action you might take on your own turn, and are usually defensive in nature. As with standard actions, please put a "+" or "-" at the end of your sentence.
-If an ally character is targeted and you wish to help them, type a "#" to attempt to support. That player may decide if they want to accept the support or not. If they do, you may type your response in place of the other player. If not, the other player gets to react as normal.
