	President Jacqulyn Rose › Aegis Initiative Original » aegis_mods President Rose is the embattled president of the United States of America. The emergence of mutants combined with the alien attacks have caused her a great deal of political turmoil. President Rose is facing a great deal of pressure from her political opponents to increase military presence and impose sanctions on mutants within the States.
	General Benjamin Hauswr › Aegis Initiative Original » aegis_mods General Hauwsr is the Secretary of Defense in President Rose’s cabinet and works closely with Aegis. A plain-spoken man given to rampant profanity and coarse behavior, he has caused no small amount of trouble for the president but has held the office for the past two presidents and is well respected on both sides of the political fence. Usually involved in some minor scandal based on something he said or did recently, he is nevertheless the premier soldier in the United States and his reputation as a commander and stabrategist is unmatched. While Aegis is under nominal control of the UN Security Council, the US regional branch answers to Hauwsr first.
	Aegis Commander Marie Lafontaine › Aegis Initiative Original » aegis_mods Marie Lafontaine is the commander of the Aegis Initiative. A former NSA Agent who served as commander of NATO forces for fourteen years, she is known for her strict demeanor and blunt, objective-based style. By no means a warm woman, Marie nevertheless is known as a commander who can get the job done while maximizing gains and minimizing losses.
	Dr. Charles Xavier › X-Men (Aegis Initiative AU) » sharetheworld Dr. Charles Xavier is a highly respected scientist with a long list of credentials and fields of study from some of the world’s top universities. He currently operates the Xavier School for Gifted Youth out of a large mansion in Vigilance, Virginia. Said to consider this his “semi-retirement,” Charles maintains that education is his true passion and he is happy enough mentoring youth who show exceptional talent but don’t necessarily have the advantages of family or resources to properly mold them. What isn’t officially known is that Dr. Xavier is a psychic, possibly the most powerful psychic in the world. Those at his school are mutants and psychics as well, and his role is to train them to control their power and use it as a force for good. With the alien threat looming, he works closely with Aegis and often takes in Sliders with unnatural abilities, helping them to master or re-master their powers.
	Dr. Irene Vahlen › XCOM: Enemy Unknown (Aegis Initiative AU) » bring_one_back_alive A relentlessly curious woman, Dr. Vahlen works directly under Commander Ikari as the head of research and development for Aegis. Despite having no combat skills to speak of, she is something of an alien’s worst nightmare. She has absolutely no sympathy or even empathy for any of the invaders, and has developed many techniques for extracting information out of any captives that she is just dying to try out on a live subject. She intends to dismantle the alien armada to see how it ticks, then build a new one to fight the survivors with.
	Harriet Jones › Doctor Who (Aegis Initiative AU) » theyknow Initially an obscure backbencher MP, Harriet Jones's political career skyrocketed following the first wave of Emergence. Despite sustaining serious injury herself, her level head and cool, take charge manner in the face of unprecedented disaster were widely admired. In the years following, she cemented her reputation as a revolutionary with her insistence on a proactive approach to the dimensional threat and her advocacy for mutant and Slider rights. With the appearance of the aliens, she was a shoo-in for the newly created position of Minister of Extraterrestrial Defense and was soon approached to serve a similar role in the United Nations. At present, she acts as the primary liaison between the central command of the Aegis Initiative and the United Nations.
	Captain Bright Noa › Mobile Suit Gundam (Aegis Initiative AU) » eternal_captain As a navy captain, Bright is younger than you might expect. That's because, during his first assignment, he took command of an experimental new ship class after her original skipper was killed in a surprise attack and managed to keep her afloat for a full year. He had been a natural choice for the Aegis Initiative, and was brought aboard to oversee the organization's vehicle-based operations. Strict but approachable, Bright brings with him an authoritative style of command that earns him the respect of those who serve under him. And should the need arise, he's not afraid to raise his fist and "correct" someone who has strayed from the right path.
